About BASA NSWWHO OR WHAT IS BASA-NSW?The Balloon Artist & Suppliers Association of New South Wales Inc. is a non profit trade group representing businesses and sole traders who derive income from trading within the balloons, party supplies, party hire, floristry, special events and entertainer industries. Originally launched in 1991 as the Balloon Industry Association of NSW, BASA-NSW is now affiliated with BASA-VIC, BASA-QLD, BASA-WA and BASA-SA to collectively operate BASA-Australasia for the purpose of staging the Australasian Balloon Convention every 2 years. HOW DOES IT OPERATE?As required by the state government Department of Fair Trade, BASA-NSW is a registered incorporated association. Members elect an executive committee and 6 additional committee members each year. These 10 elected members then volunteer their time to administer BASA-NSW and to formulate policies and activities for the benefit of the entire membership. The elected Treasurer administers all income and expenditure. WHAT KIND OF POLICIES AND ACTIVITIES?Being a trade association, over the past 10 years BASA-NSW have provided:-

THE COST OF ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP?There are basically three levels of membership.
Eligible Full Members are those in the balloon, party, special events, entertainment, floristry or other associated industries who have an A.B.N. Members can be trading as; manufacturers, wholesale suppliers, retailers, decorators, consultants or service providers.
A receipt is issued. And our ABN No. is 46 234 687 034 Note: Members are registered and listed by business name and address. Each full member must nominate the person eligible to vote on behalf of the business listed as the member. HOW CAN MY BUSINESS BECOME A MEMBER?Simply complete the Membership Application Form including Copy of Insurance policy & payment and return by post to the Secretary, as indicated on the application form. The executive committee will consider your application as soon as practical and you will be advised if your application has been accepted or otherwise.
